Fifty-five-inch OLED TVs are the most popular size of OLED TVs with an estimated worldwide shipment of 2.63 million units. Second in line are 65-inch OLED TVs with 1.65 million units estimated to be shipped in 2020.
OLED display technology
An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) is a type of display technology , and more specifically a flat light emitting technology made by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. A bright light is emitted when an electric current is applied to these conductors. OLEDs do not require a backlight, and as a result are thinner and more efficient than their liquid crystal display (LCD) counterparts.

Smartphones lead OLED panel revenue
Worldwide revenues from OLED panels have been increasing consistently in recent years. The majority of OLED panel revenues are generated from smartphone screens, with smartphones accounting for close to seven billion U.S. dollars of the 8.1 billion generated from OLED panels in the fourth quarter of 2019.
